There are times when it appears that you have actually been chosen by the land itself and that it is only by working the land that your efforts and work can bear fruit. There are times when land, history and dedication form an alliance and make you exclaim: thank you mother earth!

We are sure that this project and its entire development would only be meaningful in one land: Navarre.

There are many reasons to justify this. Our history commenced almost a century ago, in 1912, when the National Viticultural Congress was held in Pamplona for the purpose of providing solutions to the serious problem caused by phylloxera. During this congress, interest developed for research into the creation of root stock to combat this problem.

It may have been a mere whim of history that determined that the origin, the genesis of what we are now today should have developed here in Navarre; however, perhaps this land was not simply chosen by chance: Navarre, the varied features of its land, its climate, the intersection of the Mediterranean and Atlantic winds, the people and a tradition passed from one generation to the next and bettered with each vintage, have all combined to create the roots which enable us to offer here, and only here, what we are today.
