Oenological potential: The wines present high values of alcohol, total acidity, malic acid and total poliphenols – Viura has an inferior level of potassium. It is a well balanced variety that is suitable for both obtaining young wines and other types meant to age and barrel-mature. It is greenish yellow in color, has the type specific flavor, with intense tones of watermelon, apple, citrus fruit and tropical ones, as well as floral flavors.
The available material is not a result of the clonal selection, but derives from the masala selection, therefore its category is standard.
